The right Computer for you! (Part 2)
When it comes to medium builds (or hybrid builds as I prefer them) nothing goes better with a semi-dedicated graphics cards.
The Half Wit. Semi-Dedicated builds for the Semi-Dedicated
When doing a bit more enforcing tasks such as video editing and light gaming (which in 2014 is not so light as many would like it to be), a little bit more is required than your basic standard Dual Core with 4Gb ram and the dedicated graphics.
The following is a build I recently started introducing to customers and I must say they have all been satisfied with the performance of their machines.
The Half Wit:
Old Composition:
CPU: AMD A10-6800k
RAM: A strong encouragement of 8Gb of 2133Mhz (at least) DDR3 or 4 (when it becomes widely available) to avoid all possible bottlenecks motherboard-wise, also, the graphics side of the APU will be using a reserved portion of your total RAM to power your on board graphics.
GPU: AMD HD 6670
HDD: Customers choice between 1Tb and 2Tb
HDD: Customers choice between 1Tb and 2Tb
SSD 120Gb for Primary
PSU: 500watts (Bronze and higher) 80+ Certified
MB: Any Bolton D4 motherboard that supports up to 2400Mhz RAM Overclock

New Composition:
CPU: AMD A10-7850k

GPU: !!!AMD R7 250 1Gb GDDR5!!! please pay attention when doing your purchase because there's a 2Gb edition of this same card that is only DDR3 graphic memory and that can present a SERIOUS bottleneck on your system, the R7 250E and the R7 250X editions of the R7 250 are confirmed NOT working by AMD customer support.
HDD: Customers choice between 1Tb and 2Tb as secondary

Although these builds are not *THE BEST* solutions for professional wise gaming or video editing, they will do the job perfectly at home. The iGPU on the A10 series APU is strong enough to handle most games on medium-low settings, and if paired up with matching RAM, can support fully medium graphics.
Paired with an R7 250 1gb is a perfect addition to help the APU take care of what it cannot do alone.
Technically speaking, you should be just as good off with the DDR3 version of the R7 card since your graphics will run at the same speed as your RAM, but since I have listed high frequency RAM, please consider keeping the 5GDR edition of the card as a primary choice.
