- USB Installation
This is probably the easiest way to install windows because it requires no CD/DVD drive, no compact disk or DVD disk and it's about 3-4 times quicker than working with Disks.
1) First thing is first, go to microsoft's website and login to your account and download the DVD image you'd like to install.
If you have procured a windows image through a different source, it's all you, but I recommend buying the products you're using due to anti-piracy laws. Stay out of trouble ladies and gentlemen.
This works for images of Windows 7, windows 8 and windows 8.1 .
2) Download a tool called Rufus USB Utility which can be found here.
If your computer supports UEFI bios, in accordance with your Hard Drive, select either MBR Or GPT.
If your computer does NOT have UEFI Bios, Please select the MBR for BIOS
3) Once you have selected the mode for "flash burning" click the CD image and browse to your virtual image and open it.
4) As soon as your image is selected and all the default settings loaded for that image, go ahead and select start and wait until the process is done loading..
Last step)
Go ahead and reboot your computer (with the USB still plugged in) and (Depending on your computer) press either F9 or F11 to enter the bios boot manager. Select your USB HDD and let your computer boot from the install image.
